For the record, St Pierre church was built between the 12th and 15th centuries, and the town hall still bears witness to the consular organization of yesteryear. Blagnac became a barony in the 17th century, and boasts a château whose polychrome glazed tiles can be seen in the distance. Several religious congregations settled here from the 19th century to the present day. Blagnac?s artisanal character remains little-known, and yet it hides an unusual and now rare witness, an ancient brick kiln, which provides an insight into how the Pink City was built over the millennia. The walk through the former Ile du Ramier still evokes the world of market gardening, whose only testimony today is the sovereign and jubilant brotherhood of the Blagnac Carrot! But make no mistake, Blagnac doesn't just rely on its rustic assets, it's a city that lives with the times, and where many works of street art take pride of place, thanks to the sculptures left by Toutain.
