Appelé également Fort Morlot, et situé au sud du plateau, il fut construit en 1878 par Séré de Rivières de façon à établir les communications militaires avec les forts du Laonnois.
Un télégraphe optique fonctionnant avec une lampe à pétrole et un jeu de miroirs récupérant et dirigeant les rayons du soleil, permettait de transmettre des messages à six forts environnants, messages invisibles pour l’ennemi situé en contre bas.

Also called Fort Morlot, and located south of the plateau, it was built in 1878 by Séré de Rivières in order to establish military communications with the forts of the Laonnois.
An optical telegraph operating with a kerosene lamp and a set of mirrors capturing and directing the sun's rays, allowed messages to be transmitted to six surrounding forts, messages that were invisible to the enemy below.

Das Fort Morlot, das sich im Süden des Plateaus befindet, wurde 1878 von Séré de Rivières erbaut, um die militärische Kommunikation mit den Forts im Laonnois zu ermöglichen.
Ein optischer Telegraf, der mit einer Petroleumlampe und einem Satz Spiegeln, die die Sonnenstrahlen auffingen und umleiteten, funktionierte, übermittelte Nachrichten an sechs umliegende Forts, die für den Feind unten unsichtbar waren.

Ook bekend als Fort Morlot, en gelegen ten zuiden van het plateau, werd het in 1878 gebouwd door Séré de Rivières om militaire verbindingen tot stand te brengen met de forten van de Laonnois.
Een optische telegraaf, werkend met een olielamp en een stel spiegels die de zonnestralen opvingen en richtten, maakte het mogelijk om berichten naar zes omringende forten te sturen, berichten die onzichtbaar waren voor de vijand beneden.

También conocido como Fuerte Morlot, y situado al sur de la meseta, fue construido en 1878 por Séré de Rivières para establecer comunicaciones militares con los fuertes del Laonnois.
Un telégrafo óptico, que funcionaba con una lámpara de aceite y un conjunto de espejos que captaban y dirigían los rayos del sol, permitía transmitir mensajes a seis fuertes de los alrededores, mensajes que eran invisibles para el enemigo que se encontraba abajo.

Conosciuto anche come Fort Morlot e situato a sud dell'altopiano, fu costruito nel 1878 da Séré de Rivières per stabilire le comunicazioni militari con i forti del Laonnois.
Un telegrafo ottico, funzionante con una lampada a olio e una serie di specchi che catturavano e indirizzavano i raggi del sole, permetteva di trasmettere messaggi a sei forti circostanti, messaggi invisibili al nemico sottostante.
