La Citerne à eau de Sainte-Ouenne

Ce site de 300 m2 répertorié par le CREN se trouve dans les Deux-Sèvres, au nord de la ville de Niort. Il se limite à une parcelle OB138 entourée d'une habitation au nord, de la RD 12 à l'ouest, d'une prairie 'des ovins' au sud et le terrain communal de football à l'est. C'est le plus petit site Natura 2000 anthropique, il abrite de très nombreuses chauves-souris tout au long de l'année. En période de mise bas, la colonie mixte de Grands Rhinolophes et Murins à oreilles échancrées soit plus de 700 adultes = le 2ème site le plus important des Deux-Sèvres en terme de colonies de parturition. Cette colonie s'inscrit dans un réseau de colonies réparties sur le Bocage Gâtinais et Bressuirais qui accumule plus de la moitié des effectifs reproducteurs des deux espèces du Poitou-Charentes. En hibernation, la tendance s'inverse : entre 50 et 100 Grands Rhinolophes.

This 300 m2 site listed by the CREN is located in the Deux-Sèvres region, north of the town of Niort. It is limited to a plot OB138 surrounded by a house to the north, the RD 12 to the west, a meadow 'des ovins' to the south and the communal football field to the east. It is the smallest man-made Natura 2000 site and is home to a large number of bats throughout the year. During the birthing period, the mixed colony of Great Rhinolophes and Cut-eared Murins, i.e. more than 700 adults, is the 2nd most important site in the Deux-Sèvres in terms of parturition colonies. This colony is part of a network of colonies spread over the Bocage Gâtinais and Bressuirais which accumulates more than half of the breeding stock of the two species of Poitou-Charentes. In hibernation, the trend is reversed: between 50 and 100 Great Rhinolophes.
