Dans l’histoire des arts en général et dans la musique en particulier, les femmes disparaissent. Puisant dans un matrimoine musical allant du Moyen Âge aux musiques actuelles, Maud Le Pladec, avec la complicité de Tom Pauwels de l’ensemble Ictus et de Chloé Thévenin (DJ Chloé), cherche à écrire une histoire « secrète » de la musique et à redonner sa place aux femmes. La chorégraphe articule la voix, le souffle, le chant et les sons dans cette pièce à l’énergie décuplée par les capacités impressionnantes des interprètes. Concert, performance dansée, œuvre militante : counting stars with you (musiques femmes) est tout cela à la fois. Corps et voix fusionnent, épousent des spirales musicales et sensuelles vers une polyphonie hypnotique.

If you search for Schumann on the internet, it is Robert and not Clara who appears. The same goes for Mendelssohn (Fanny) or Mahler (Alma). In the history of the arts in general and in music in particular, women are disappearing. Drawing on a musical heritage ranging from the Middle Ages to contemporary music, Maud Le Pladec, with the complicity of Tom Pauwels of the Ictus ensemble and Chloé Thévenin (DJ Chloé), seeks to write a "secret" history of music and to restore the place of women. The choreographer articulates the voice, the breath, the song and the sounds in this piece with energy multiplied tenfold by the impressive capacities of the interpreters. Concert, danced performance, militant work: counting stars with you (women's music) is all this at the same time. Bodies and voices merge, marrying musical and sensual spirals towards a hypnotic polyphony.
