Ancienne cristallerie, le château de la Verrerie a été la résidence de la famille Schneider. De nos jours, le corps central du bâtiment abrite le musée de l'Homme et de l'Industrie (cristaux, histoire de la dynastie Schneider, peintures, maquettes). Dans la salle du Jeu de Paume, le Pavillon de l'Industrie, explique l'aventure industrielle du Creusot à l'aide de tablettes et d'un film. Petit théâtre aménagé dans l'un des anciens fours de fusion du verre. Jardin à la française et parc de 28 ha.

The Chateau de la verrerie is actually former crystal and glass manufactory founded in 1786. After the closure of the factory in 1832, the Schneiders, owners of the local steel factories, bought it in 1837 with the intention of making their home inside the building. They transformed it to create a real castle. Nowadays, the castle is open to the public with three different visits: the Men and Industry Museum, the Industry Pavilion and the small theatre.

Eine ehemalige Kristallfabrik im Jahr 1786 erbaut. Im Jahr 1837 wurde die Fabrik, die im Jahr 1832 geschloßen wurde, zur Residenz der Familie Schneider (Eigentümer der Schmiede), die sie in ein echtes Schloß umgebaut hat.
