RANDONNÉE DU MOULIN DE DODET

Départ de la Halle, prendre la rue Gambetta et tourner à droite pour emprunter le chemin communal de Gaston. A l'ancienne maison de garde-barrière, continuer vers le hameau de Bouvées. 800 m plus loin, quitter le chemin et prendre à gauche un sentier herbeux qui vous conduit sur le tracé d'une ancienne voie de chemin de fer. Suivre à droite l'ancien parcours de la voie ferrée sur 4 km. Sur ce parcours, au niveau d'une maison garde-barrière, faire un léger détour sur la droite pour contourner une propriété privée. A la sortie du chemin de terre, on trouve un parking (aire de pique-nique et eau courante). Traverser la D 928 en direction de Labrihe. Traverser le village puis, à l'intersection en bas de celui-ci, continuer tout droit. Le chemin oblique fortement sur la gauche, et vous ramène après un parcours de 5 km, au parc François Mitterrand, continuer puis rejoindre la Halle en empruntant la rue du Nord et les terrasses du château. Balisage ; Jaune n°4 Attraits touristiques : Collines aux courbes, aux couleurs variées, tranquilles sous la lumière pure du ciel, répondant à la sérénité des platanes, chênes, peupliers et de ses maisons en pierre dorée, Mauvezin est une bourgade au caractère rural, bâtie sur un éperon rocheux, cernée de tous côtés par une campagne verdoyante et colorée, enchâssée par deux rivières : l'Arrats et la Gimone.

From the market hall, take the rue Gambetta and turn right to take the communal path de Gaston. At the old gatehouse, continue towards the hamlet of Bouvées. 800 m further on, leave the path and turn left onto a grassy path which leads you to the which leads you to the path of an old railroad. Follow the old railway line on the right for 4 km. On this route, at the level of a gatekeeper's house, make a slight detour on the right to bypass a private property to go around a private property. At the end of the dirt track, there is a car park (picnic area and running water). Cross the D 928 towards Labrihe. Go through the village and then, at the intersection at the bottom of the village, continue straight on. The path bends sharply to the left, and takes you back after 5 km, to the park François Mitterrand, continue then join the market hall by taking the street of the North and the terraces of the castle. Marking; Yellow n°4 Tourist attractions : Hills with curves, varied colors, quiet under the pure light of the sky, responding to the the serenity of the plane trees, oaks, poplars and its golden stone houses, Mauvezin is built on a rocky spur, surrounded on all sides by a green and colourful countryside by two rivers: the Arrats and the Gimone.
